The dumbest fucking quooks here don't have any illusions about what's going to happen when Tennessee or Penn St need their next coach and Lanning has gone 40-15 at Oregon. This is why you're such a fucking sad sack doog, you think Oregon losing coaches because they keep winning is embarrassing, while your program has been an absolute shit show for 20 years. haha, sucks to be Oregon, they lost another coach who won 10 games a year. Losers.
The biggest knock I'd always bring up about Bellotti and Kelly's staffs at Oregon was that nobody ever got poached. You want it both ways. If they hire a lifer in Wilcocks, you laff it up, if they hire another stepping stone merc like Lanning, you laff it up.

Lanning has never had a head coaching role at any level. Inherited an elite defense from Mel tucker with elite talent. It’s a risky hire although his fast rise up the coaching ranks from complete obscurity to DC of the second best team in the sec is impressive. Boom or bust hire. UW fans will love it for the bust potential, Oregon fans will love it for the boom. Being an upset Oregon fan because uw fans hope he either implodes or doesn’t stick around for long is faggy. What do you want us to do… fellate the Oregon ad for hiring this dude? Oregon has gone outside of their DNA by hiring a defense first, kind of guy. That’s somewhat intriguing.
I wouldn’t have wanted UW to hire Lanning but each program is in a different arc. Post Peterson, probably not a great hire. Post Lake, probably a good hire.
As of this morning, Cristobal leaving is good enough for me. Three of his four years were unwatchable and the only reason the fourth season wasn’t, was because of the last two games in 2019. He completely sucked the life out of Oregon football. Fucking horrendous stuff. -
