Jackson Stratton, 2022 3* QB, La Jolla (HS), CA (Committed)

This is a surprise to me. Feels like he'd be a great fit for DeBoer's system. Interesting. -
I don't know why any young QB would stick with his commitment after having the opportunity to play in Lake/Donvan's dynamic, quarterback-driven offense yanked right out from under him.dnc said:

My guess is that DeBoer/Grubb/Morgan have their eyes on a different QB for this class

What about Maalik Murphy if Quinn Ewers transfers to Texas who he was originally committed to?backthepack said:

What retard is posting similarly stupid shit under multiple accounts in here today?TheDude said:Maybe he can play TE. Or maybe Lakes plan is to piss off all the talent so they transfer and coach up the 3⭐ guys

This was my guy. I'm off the bandwagon.

He may just be keeping his options openchuck said:

He chose UW at an interesting time. Must have liked something -

I loved Stratton's upside from his highlights. Big, mobile, and strong armed. He has everything one should look for in a modern QB except an extensive resume with camps and tee shirt football accolades.
So yeah, I hope this is just part of the process and he recommits. I know there's no room, but I'd rather see two QBs than see Stratton replaced. -
Hell I’m still pissed we never got to see Yankoff whip it around
-
Huffman said we may have one more decommit. I'm guessing it would be Vega.
-
Yankoff threw like an 80 year old woman using her off hand though. Stratton has the kind of arm strength to make 40 yard throws on a line and throw with authority rolling left or right or falling back. He has similar size and speed to Yankoff though.Bonedog said:Hell I’m still pissed we never got to see Yankoff whip it around

Could also be Holtzclaw, he’s had 0 UW related activity on his TwitterROOFDOOGINS said:Huffman said we may have one more decommit. I'm guessing it would be Vega.

I don't usually blame the kids, but I do genuinely question any offensive player who was committed to this team after seeing what Lake and Donovan brought to the table. To then de-commit expressly because they're gone makes me question them even more.
So I guess this is my new and original way of saying - WDWHA. -
yeah and he's huge. It'd be hard to flip from Michigan thoBleachedAnusDawg said:

Door -> Ass -> Out. Bye random 3 star qb hand picked by John Don
-
Holtzclaw is one of the few that is actually good. He seems legit.NEsnake12 said:

Considering Parker Brailsford is visiting Colorado and seemed pretty close with Huff I would guess it's him.RoadDawg55 said:

Yeah. Germie, Holtzclaw, Megwa, Ioane, Bogan (depends) and Otton all look like they'll be good.RoadDawg55 said:

Germie might be the best WR on the west coast. That kid is nuts. I can't wait to see him in this offense. -
Papa Brailsford has been pretty vocal that Parker is staying put (and that Huff has told him to stay put even if Huff isn't retained).PasadenaHuskyFan said:

Disagree completely. JonDon stumbled into a gem of a prospect, and the perfect kind of guy to bring in behind someone with extreme hype like Huard.PasadenaHuskyFan said:Door -> Ass -> Out. Bye random 3 star qb hand picked by John Don
I'm fine if they find someone with similar tools though: big, tough, mobile, fast, strong arm, versatile thrower.
On the other hand, it's not abnormal for guys to reopen their recruitment briefly during a coach change. They don't know if the new staff wants them or if they like the new staff. The prudent thing to do is to let other schools know that you may be available so that some other options open up. It doesn't mean he's gone. -
Agree, it would be a big loss so I’m hoping it’s not that.RoadDawg55 said:

Apparently Huffman said on KJR that the decommit might be a casualty of “changing philosophy” which to me sounds like one of the two TE’s -
I am really bummed as well. I also thought he was the perfect qb to follow Huard. Hopefully he comes back around with the new staff.chuck said:

He visited Otten. Not sure about Bogan. Of everybody on our commit list, I'd be the least sad about losing Bogan. I could see it being Ioane though, with no OL coach being named yetbackthepack said:

Edited: hi there. My reflexes arent what they once were. Move along. Nothing to see here.

So wtf happened with Stratton and is there another HS QB recruit in the works?
Am I the only one really bummed about this guy? -
From run the damn ball to the father of the Air Raid
The mystery deepens -
Really strange. I still love Stratton's game. I dont get it. Senior highlights:
