There was an incident in the Berkeley Public High School where one of the student loudly called the teacher a "bitch" right during class. The teacher kicked the kid out of her class and sent the kid to the principal's office. Teacher white, kid black.
This action sparked a debate on the need for more teachers of color because culturally calling someone a bitch in the black community isn't that big a deal and a black teacher would have known how to handle that situation better than the white teacher. I shit you not, this was the a real "debate" in the community. Now this was 5 or 6 years ago before Obama's rules regarding school suspensions were handed down. -

When I say negative education this is a prime example. Private tuition dollars along with federal and state funding would be better spent as fuel for homeless fires this winter.
