Surfing through the social media landscape it seems the people are aren't buying the Omicron variant. At all.

Most people are ready to get on with their lives. Bill and some TugCons never wanted to shut anything down in April of 2020. We were right. Too bad there were quacks like Fauci and Birx in charge.

Now that I've been in Texas for almost a month the idea of wandering around with a mask like an asshole just seems totally ridiculous

It's a weird deal. So where I live I sort of straddle cuntry and semi-urban. Drive 20 minutes west and it's no people and farmland/forests as far as the eye can see. When I go west into a small town to shop or get something nobody anywhere has a mask on. Even the 80 year olds are like "Fuck it I'm comin in hot."
I go 20 minutes east though toward the city and even on the outskirt suburbs 2/3rds of the idiots are masked in the store and half of them keep their mask on all the way to their car and on their drive home.
Virginia really is two states, like so many others. Rural and semi-rural people with some hair on their balls who love freedom, and then city folks who have CNN garbage hardwired into their non thinking brain pans looking for their next set of instructions.
Two Americas for sure. In everything.
