So, they are growing a billion dollars of illegal weed in Southern Oregon, ostensibly for export to non-legal states. Doesn't seem to be any population heavy states near Oregon to export to. So, the more likely explanation is that Oregon and Cali have set legal weed prices and taxes so high that illegal marijuana is still massively profitable. Seems like an article about illegal weed might mention the legal price for weed in Oregon versus the price of illegal weed. Anyone in the know?

Legal weed in California is more than illegal
If I was still a youngster I'd still buy from the local dealer -
Of course pot heads are not known for their attention span and hard work, but in Oregon you can legally grow 4 plants. Seems like a no brainer to grow a couple for fun and profit [sale would be illegal but keep it quiet. Not a lot of enforcement on pot sales in Portland].RaceBannon said:Legal weed in California is more than illegal

Dominion Voting Systems has sued the Fox Corporation in a push for access to company Chairman Rupert Murdoch's documents to determine how much control he and his son, Fox Corp. Chief Executive officer Lachlan Murdoch, had over the coverage of the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
Dominion had already sued Fox News in March, but in its latest lawsuit, filed this week in Delaware state court, the company alleges the Fox Corporation did not search or produce the Murdochs' documents, Bloomberg reported.

This industry still commits lots of crime not counting all the crime surrounding the cash involved. Export of legally grown weed to prohibitive states is where the big money is.

Why not grow illegal weed in Idaho? Idaho and Wyoming are not exactly big population states. Now if you are talking Texas, then sure, but seems like a long way to go with an illegal crop when Mexico is next door or just grow it in Texas. Seems like most is going to Cali. Typical leftard government, limit legal production, tax the sh*t out of it and kill the golden goose.Sledog said:This industry still commits lots of crime not counting all the crime surrounding the cash involved. Some truths appear to be eternal. Wonder who courts and gets the imbecile vote?

Mexican weed is shit weed. Sells for far far less than quality shit. My biggest case was 6 tons of that crap. Hated weed cases with a passion. No enhancement for weight in Kali. 6 tons brought 9 month sentences and probably ended up with time served.WestlinnDuck said:

I think Cruz started to distort things and try to get Garland to admit to something that wasn't in his memo. That being said, he did a great job exposing the lack of research and awareness of the AGSoutherndawg said:
Garland is clearly a leftist, not shocking. What is surprising is how weak and simple minded he is. He's a fucking idiot in addition to being a political hack.TurdBomber said:Garland is a Fascist tool. And a liar.
And Democrats wanted this pseudo-intellectual slug on the Supreme Court.
Love him or hate him, Cruz is a sharp and prepared guy. He can hold his own against most anyone and make many look a bit foolish, but that was a thrashing of epic proportions against an absolutely unworthy opponent. Thank real god Garland was not allowed on the Supreme Court.
