Promoting him from interim to next HC would be the most UW ever thing to do. So I expect it's at least 50/50 to happen. If it does happen, I will napalm that field to fiery rubble and salt the Earth behind it. Full on warpath shit will happen.

    Phillips is part Cherokee on his father's side. He has remained close to the Native American community and was adopted by an Oglala Lakota Sioux family in a traditional ceremony in 1991. His Lakota name translates to "Star Keeper".

    In Oregon’s defense, I think the players picked the right guy. He isn’t perfect, but Oregon could have hired much worse after Taggart. Honestly, Oregon was one bad hire away from being Nebraska.

    If UW fires 2 coaches because of public outrage they're not going to get themselves right back into the same situation with an easy internal hire. It could be an equally weak move but there's no way they go back to the well
