Hurry up and pass the 3.5 trillion so that we can all see what's in it. Isn't that the rat way?

Turns out child care for a whole lot of middle class people, actually the overwhelming majority of middle class voters, is going to be a whole lot more expensive. Unattainably expensive.
Why do rats have to lie to get their shit passed? The obvious answer is the fact that they would never pass their legislation if the voters knew the truth.

Biden’s ‘help’ for child-care would make the middle class pay $13K a year more

They fucked up health care and said costs would go down. They didn't.

They're fucking around with child care and saying costs will go down. They won't.

The only thing government does more efficiently than the private sector is wage war. And even that is debatable given the number of mercenary contractors utilized since invading Iraq.

Did they merely fuck it up, or did they work hand-in-glove with the corporate oligarchs to rig the system to the detriment of the common man?

I'm certain this involves giving child care to people who don't work and pay nothing. Reminds of Obunghole care. What could go wrong?

The childcare thing is gonna be an absolute shitshow. Crazy high demand already, not enough supply in the right places due to heavy regulations from the state. Some federal oversight will help those problems Im sure. They are gonna be bussing 3 year olds around between locations, just watch.

Wait until all the childcare workers unionize.

Bring manufacturing out of East Asia (China, mostly) and back to the US. Good paying jobs that allow one half of the parental unit to stay at home or work only part-time. Figure out how to have less kids born out of wedlock and get the divorce rate lower. Daycare problem solved.

Sorry to be shouting at you from 1950.

No apology necessary. When you're right you're right.

Or just remove the yuge regulatory and legal barriers to being able to start an in-home daycare. Competition, competition, competition.

It worked for the beer brewing industry.

Don't disagree ... abundance seems the right answer here.

Sure, do that, too. I don't think the "market solution" does much for the kids' upbringing, but if it's cheaper than the current options that's good, too.

Just got back from getting my 3.5 year old a Covid test. Sent home from daycare for diarrhea. State regulations. Negative test as expected. Positive antibodies from a month ago. Probably the tenth negative Covid test she has taken.

Did our president get a Covid test for his diarrhea?

Is this anything like when you guys say universal healthcare costs more because you add on the new cost and never subtract the current cost?

The classic politician move is to take something that everyone wants or that sounds good (child poverty!) And then load it up with nonsense and then go see! They hate children!

Kobe thinks adding 35 million people that can't pay a dime for insurance or health care and making everyone else pay for them makes health care more affordable for everyone else. An economic genius!

The only thing that makes a product less expensive is free market competition. Look at plastic surgery or lasik eye. Prices way down and product quality way up. Under the current US health structure, only Trump was working on transparent pricing and making big pharma accountable for selling to Mexico cheaper than the US. The dementia patient overturned the transparency requirement. So, given no competition, cost only goes down when care is denied. If you throw millions of illegals into the US official health care system, with no increase in costs (nurses doctors, aides and hospital space) then you take care away from those with health care. Like water is wet.

I was kicked off Daily Kos over a thread after BO Care was passed talking about how much people were going to save. A scorching rat got on and was bragging about how her cost of healthcare came down so much that now she could afford a 45 day trip to Europe in the month of March of that year. She had always wanted to see Europe in end of winter beginning of Spring. 45 days........ In the next breath she was only too happy to skewer the people who were against BO Care. I kindly asked her who she thought was subsidizing her healthcare costs and why she thought off of the back of those individuals she could take a clearly unemployed 45 consecutive days off to travel Europe and somehow feel good about herself.

I never got the answer. I was barred from the site for not participating in rat group think.

Meanwhile my two sister in-laws were forced by their companies onto BO Care and received huge increases that they could not afford. They were clearly subsidizing the unemployed asshole who travelled Europe for 45 days. Thankfully they could quit their jobs after finding companies that provided good insurance, subsidized by the company itself.

Idiots like Kobe could give two shits about the middle class suffering due to BO Care and other rat government programs.

Where I was working at the time kicked the families of the coverage and we had to pay more for what was left. I could have blamed my employer but I'm not an idiot

When I left and had to get my own insurance it was so expensive that having none and paying cash cost far less.

Since then H and Kobe and the rest have assured me that Obamacare is FAR better than the great insurance I had before.

Healthcare which is actually health insurance is another way the left wants to scare the population into compliance with socialism

I just want people to have good healthcare man.

My premium went from $70 to $450 and I didn't get to keep my doctor as promised.

Completely destroyed the open market for insurance...as it was designed to do.

It forced a boatload of people I know out of the independent consulting world and into the arms of corporate America.

Even if you still we able to keep your insurance with your employer the price went way up. Also, the out of pocket dollar amount you now have to pay if you do end up needing to go to the hospital has gone way up. I needed surgery when I blew-out my achilles in 2000. I don't think I ever saw a bill for any of it. Fast forward to 3 years ago when my son blew-out his knee playing football, I had thousands of dollars in out of pocket expenses and what the insurance company actually did pay was outrageous. Your private insurer gets soaked in order to cover the cost of all the freeloaders who are getting their "free" Obamacare.

Had a recent surgery. We have great insurance. $935 on demand before I could access the surgical suite.
