Tried one of those at a food truck recently. No, just no. There’s just no way you can create a meatless burger that can mimic the delicious flavor of dead animal fat.

A few years ago, my wife bought a package of meatless hamburgers. I made her cook one and eat it while I had some 80/20 chuck. I took a bite and it was something I would eat if I had no other choice. Like if I was living in North Korea. Some ad campaign. That was the only "burger" that we/she cooked and we threw out the rest after a couple of months in the freezer as I needed room to freeze some ribeyes.

Gotta love how these meatless burger companies were able to muscle their way into the grocery store meat depts. Thus proving that they can not stand alone over in the natural foods dept.

I just do not understand the need for the vegans to try and make vegetables taste like meat. I have had a portobello mushroom grilled sandwich that was great - cooked in frigging bacon fat.

Just quit trying to label it with a cutesy name that sounds like meat, THOSE THINGS ARE NOT BURGERS

The irony is that a vegan will tell you that they find the taste of meat disgusting and that non-meat substitutes taste better than a meat dish. If they think so, fine. But an evangelical vegan isn't happy with letting themselves make choices, they want your choice taken away. Scratch a leftist, find a fascist.
