Why is it mindblowing?

It's definitely American to have the government determine the veracity of your religious beliefs.MelloDawg said:Why is it mindblowing?

The state that brought you “my truth” is now denying the legitimacy of citizens’ personal faith at a 99.82% clip

Talk to an employment attorney about religious exemptions in the workplace. This isn’t mind-blowing at all.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Use your own words -
As always, the Spokesman and the Times are as good at the maths as the Dazzler. Or picking a date a month earlier to support their stance and work the fears.DoogieMcDoogerson said:

Data shows 4,849 employees applied for religious exemptions and 4,219 got approved. However, it does not mean they get to stay on the job. The employer still has to find an accommodation for the employee, if they can. This can be reassigning the worker to a different job or changing their work schedule. -
Yeah, take an airline pilot and let him work from home. Perfect accommodation.PurpleThrobber said:

Flying is a privilege not a right. All pilots should go on strike right now.

A buddy of mine who is a special ed teacher in a high school that is already short 1 special ed teacher got his religious exemption approved..
His wife, who is a 3rd grade teacher at one of the poor schools in town, who obviously goes to the same church, and filled out her form the exact same way, was denied.
So, I'm sure there is a really fair and just way that they are reviewing these. ie, if we really need you, we'll let you skate. If not, nah.
