Here's my favorite sequence of plays from a Wannstedt Pittsburgh game that I watched.

30 seconds left, 2 time outs, down 4, 1st and goal from the 3.

    1st down, fade, incomplete.

    2nd down, fade, incomplete.

    3rd down, fade, incomplete.

    4th down, fade, incomplete.

    Horrendous.
My best memory of Wannstedt was him coaching Pittsburgh in the worst bowl game I've ever watched against Oregon State in the 2008 Sun Bowl. Him and Mike Reilly were trying to outdo each other with fucktarded coaching, and Wannstedt finally succumbed losing 3-0 despite having LeSean McCoy on his team. Please don't hold it against me that I actually watched the Sun Bowl one year.

If you remove the 2004 season, Keith Gilbertson would have a career win percentage of 0.544

In defense, Harbaugh did the same thing against USC in that epic underdog win in the coliseum. The only difference: It worked on fourth down, so Harbaugh gets praised.

I don't think you get it.

We're listing crappy coaches who have better records than Sark.

    Bagshaw does not belong here.

    IMO, neither does Rick.

Winning a Sun, Copper, Citrus, and losing a Rose, and 2 Aloha bowels is always special.

Snyder was mediocre. One great season with Jake Plummer, a few good seasons, some average ones, and a few bad ones. Recor slightly above .500. What a great coach, PLSS.

I always love these poasts because they always set up one of those PLSS poasts where he digs down into the darkest part of his soul and it makes you feel better about being an asshole.

3rd and goal on the 2, jake locker 0 yd rush
4th and goal on the 2, ND personal foul accepted
1st and goal on the 1, chris polk 0 yd rush
2nd and goal on the 1, WASH false start
2nd and goal on the 6, pass complete to paul homer 5 yds
3rd and goal on the 1, jack locker 0 yd rush

That's a fair poont. I do think there is some difference though in the situations though. A massive underdog should be more unconventional and do things you shouldn't normally do. Pitt was just playing some other tit dirt Big East team.

Stanford had 86 yards total rushing in the 2007 USC game. Also they were on the 10 yard line.

    Not analogous.

    What Race said.

Snyder left Cal in great shape for Gilby who ran it into the ground. The nock on him would be that he didn't sustain initial success at ASU. He basically got two different programs to a BCS bowl in 5 years. Good but not great.
