If you could transport one Husky from the past onto this year’s roster, who would it be?

I'd just list off all the good inside linebackers I can remember and take any one of them. Any would improve the defense immensely. Shaq Thompson would be amazing alongside Ulo. Feeney and Littleton played outside under the last staff but were both excellent inside backers and would be a giant upgrade. BBK, Donald Butler, Mason Foster, Marquis Cooper, Dave freakin Hoffman...any of these guys would elevate the current defense hugely. Hell, Scott White would make the defense a lot better.

Reggie Williams wouldn't hurt either.

I'm with you. Give me John Ross and any of BBK/Foster/healthy Azeem/Littleton/Feeney/etc.

*We? have produced good linebackers at a pretty impressive rate even going back to RN/Gilby. I dont hate Sirmon but I think he's very limited and would make a solid backup. I also think Ulo needs to be spelled more frequently. If you watch him enough he has some really ineffective, throwaway type plays where he runs himself out of the play and can't recover. I think those are tired plays.

Bottom line is that it's never been hard to get good lbs at UW, but there's currently only one proven, high level individual in the depth. Yikes. That's the easiest weakness to fix by magically adding one player from the past.
