US governors are never elected, always (s)elected. They are all actors playing a role. Even if they seem to be supporting good policies, look at the fine print, like Desantis, who signed a bill authorizing forced vaccinations by any means necessary. If he 'wins', he's one of them, and it will be evident shortly. Anyone who is not one of them, who manages to slip through the cracks and then opposes them, will be asked to rape and/or kill someone for blackmail purposes, or step down. Refusal = what happened to the President of Haiti or the President of Tanzania.
