The virus is currently doing what viruses do. It's mutating and spreading itself around at high speed. The US has had a year and a half to throw its might into getting people to lose weight, take a walk, stop eating sugar and instead made us shelter in place, stop working, and gain "quarantine weight" while waiting for a vaccine that doesn't work the way they had hoped. The news outlets need to start listening to some of the experts they panned as kooks a year ago and champion another path forward. Keep jabbing the at risk in our population and let the rest of us spread this shit out to make the virus endemic. Attempting to get Covid annihilated through vaccination is Big Pharmas wet dream and will never work.

The clicker on ESPN or FS1 has a professional athlete testing positive seemingly every day. Every time they are listed as having very mild symptoms or asymptomatic. This is more indicative of what happens to Americans that aren’t old, fat or immune compromised. Bryan Harsin ain’t dying anytime soon. The golfer Rham(sp?) had it twice in a couple months. Does he seem to be struggling with life? The story is that these famous people are getting Covid not that all of them are surviving and thriving. Test is not accurate at all! Many football players test positive only to test negative twice the next day.

Excellent post. How are people not connecting the dots here. Life has to move on, there will be a segment of society that will unfortunately have to deal with Covid as a threat.
Life is pretty unfair and it sucks, but civilization will need to go back to being functional and productive. Medical and health challenges make life hard. Welcome to the human experience.

On the topic of kids getting sick.
I’ve got many contacts in children’s hospital Dallas. There are 2 kids in the ICU with covid, both have cancer.
This hospital serves probably 1M+ people. Kids getting sick is bullshit.
What is real is a shit ton of kids with RSV from kids kept out of society for 12months+
