FWIW, Caple mentioned in an article yesterday that Odunze has seemed to be more reliable as a deep threat than McMillan in fall campchuck said:Polk is good. He was probably the #3 already.
McMillan is valuable and important too though. The good teams make big plays and long touchdowns. He's a guy that can do that and you can't have too many. -
I believe it. He's a bigger target with speed.NEsnake12 said:

I like McMillan better as a slot guy. I wish they weren't putting him outside all the time. He doesn't have great hands, but he could get some easier catches and is the kind of guy who can take it the distance. -

Odunze and Bynum seem to be catching TD’s in all the highlights.

Sawyer went to a concert and either got the rona or is in some kind of quarantine. Maybe he went with Asa Turner. But he will be out for a while.FremontTroll said:Polk isn’t a midget he is 6’2”?
Hasn’t Sawyer missed all of camp? Is he coming back? -
I don’t have a problem with that at all. Most teams have two guys that do the heavy lifting. We do need a third and fourth option to emerge, but losing the 2-3 catches per game by McMillan should be easily replaceable.AtomicDawg said:Odunze and Bynum seem to be catching TD’s in all the highlights.

I haven't lost confidence in Jalen. The kid hasn't really played yet. Hopefully it's just a minor thing and he'll only miss a couple of weeks

This just means bigger classes at the haves and players washing out to the have-nots.FecalFeast said:

Competition is good. You know that Dynamo felt the presence of Sam coming in. Every position should have that kind of pressure. Builds iron. And iron builds more iron.
Just need to iron a few things out -
Dylan Morris night and day!?
Great, he'll be in a wheelchair by Tuesday. -

I dont think anyone should be that surprised if Morris is really good.FecalFeast said:
I have to tip my cap to the strategy of running Sirmon and what's his name off and replacing them with O'Brien. Good moves. He's legit starter material and seemes to have pushed. We know the other two would not have, and Huard was never a consideration this season. -
I can see O'Brien coming in for Morris in a close game that cannot afford mistakes and needs to be managed whereas Huard might come in if it's a blow-out and he can let it ripchuck said:

I expect Huard to get some garbage time this year while still preserving the redshirt -
That's the great thing about the 4 games. Perfect for a young apprenticewhatshouldicareabout said:

I would hope Morris is self motivated but it is all sounding good. I think we have a legit QB and he’s going to do very well this year.chuck said:

I assume Morris is struggling mightily in this situation you're describing? Because otherwise he's a pretty damn good game manager.whatshouldicareabout said:

I guess I removed the first paragraph from the original version, but it was if Morris gets injured in game, how I think Lake would approach it based off what we know from the spring and fall campsGreenRiverGatorz said:

I would hope that whatever QB has shown to be better would come in. There are circumstances where preserving Huard’s redshirt should take precedence tho.whatshouldicareabout said:

Sounds like Sam will be backing up DMO w/ O’Brien out.

With Patrick O'Brien's possible injury, did UW's quarterback situation (behind ascending starter Dylan Morris) just get interesting? https://t.co/jRyfvkUslV -

A lot of people bought into the TSIO narrative that Morris sucked. Obviously practice reports can be misleading but the kid sounds like he may have the "it" factor.chuck said:

Why do people keep shouting this bullshit? No one has ever seriously tried using iron to sharpen iron. It just isn't practical. Lately, modern black smiths prefer low grade diamonds to sharpen iron. We need more hidden gems / diamond in the rough type guys if we really wanted to sharpen the iron on our team.dirtysouwfdawg said:Iron sharpens iron.
