I’d wager to say that it’s 18-35 year olds who aren’t going back.
The 40yo with a mortgage and a family to support is doing everything he or she can, while also paying higher taxes and more at the pump under crushing inflation to make sure Kobe is able to sit at home.

And as long as the gubmint paid $x/hour to stay home vs. $x+2/hour to go back to work, nobody in their right mind is going to actually exert themselves for $4K per year.
That's fucking stupid. One could side hustle $4k mowing lawns and still have plenty of time to go to the lake, masturbate, game, whatever......Best of both worlds.
18 to 35 years olds are annoying AF but they're not completely idiotic.
