Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib's annual financial disclosure shows that she made thousands of dollars in rental income last year, despite being a co-sponsor of a bill to cancel rent during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tlaib joined fellow "Squad" Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., and other progressives in April 2020 to co-sponsor Rep. Ilhan Omar's, D-Minn., bill to "institute a nationwide cancellation of rents and home mortgage payments through the duration of the coronavirus pandemic."

Very few of them are much else, if we are being honest. So, Find a few who’s legislative records align with your self-interests and vote with your wallet. All of the other virtue-signaling bullshit is only going to end up disappointing you.
I mean imagine being a minority and voting for the two people that author and executioner of the 1994 crime bill as opposed to the guy who delivered record low unemployment and record high wage increases for your demographic. That only happens because the shit that actually matters gets lost in campaign slogans and cable news soundbites.
