If he'd killed a family member of mine it wouldn't have taken me that long to snuff the asshole...

I love it when people talk about "what they would do" to someone if they killed or raped a family member. Hypothetical murder of family member tough guys.. You'd do what 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of everyone else does and watch the legal process handle it.
True. I'd only go medieval on the guy if the legal system fucked it up...

Why not use the same stuff they use dogs and horses? They just pass out and die in a minute. What's the big complication here?

The drug company lobbyists probably forced through laws that disallowed using animal euthanizing drugs on humans... claiming that only human euthanizing drugs were good enough for humans.

Never underestimate the desire of a company to do whatever it takes to use the government in an effort to pass legislation to give them a competitive advantage.

    American "capitalism" at work.

American "government" at work. Always fucking it up. And taking your money to do it.
    Major pressing.

Damone would fail to see the role played by lobbyists in shaping policy.

I think he can see their role quite clearly.

Do the lobbyists actually get elected and vote on the legislation? I thought not.

The death penalty is an embarrassment to America. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. You can not make one death right with another.

No. We should be proud that we render justice. You can't make one death right with another. But you can get rid of a menace to society, a useless sack of bones that's not worth the risk or money to try and rehabilitate. If you take a life through murder, you forfeit the right to live. That's justice. Europe might be more your speed. You can be Slobodan Milosevic there if you want, commit thousands of murders and you will only go to prison.

There is no forfeit. No inherent justice. If one man commits a murder and is punished by 100 men to death, what's left is 100 murderers.

The hypocrisy of law, saying it's wrong to kill therefore we will kill, is disgusting.

As a race we should strive to be better than that.

Executing a murderer is not murder. HTH. It's the ultimate consequence for an inhumane act. People need to understand that murder won't be tolerated. And we improve ourselves as a race by removing these monsters from our presence.

It's a disgrace that minorities are statistically more likely to be executed than whites, but concurrently it's naive to expect people to move past the desire for vengeance.
