Well the sitting Seattle DA Pete Holmes just lost the primary, getting only 31% of the vote. So there is a tiny glimmer of hope

One of the challengers who advanced is a defund the police candidate. The other is being painted as a Trump Republican because they believe people should be prosecuted for crimes. Holmes leaned more toward the former than the latter. Who do you think is the betting favorite in that case? Kinder and gentler is on the way in.
