A hand timed 4.6 is probably about a 4.75 or 4.8.TrumpsWall said:Anyone read the article in the Athletic today about Will Latu? I feel much better after reading it. Coach said he played around 240 last year but he put a clock on him at the beginning of the year when he was at 230 to show him how weight affects your speed. The kid ran a 4.6. That’s special no matter what as a hs junior and it mentioned how after a talk with husky coaches his sophomore year about his grades turned him around and from a 1.0 student to a 3.0-3.5 student.
The issue isn’t the amount of weight though it’s the type.
Once he puts on good weight he’ll be be fine. His athleticism is well above average. -

When you spend 5-6 pages justifying this take, he probably isn’t a great take.

If a kid can screw his head on straight straight and get his gpa from a 1.0 to a 3.0+, that's a good sign. He can set a goal and achieve it, and that's a skill that will take him far in life.TrumpsWall said:Anyone read the article in the Athletic today about Will Latu? I feel much better after reading it. I don't feel any need to justify the take, as mentioned by an earlier poaster. He's a good take. What's to justify?

Not like football will be played anyways

I also went to twitter and gave him a ❤️ Very touching choice of locations. One of the few commit videos that isn't all commercialized. Only two hats, as its normally comes down to two schools anyway. Extra hats are just meant as a pissing contest. May have to root for this kid.Motrboatnsob said: -
Not the best look but I think he's lost weight if not photoshopped -
All that work to pursue his dream of playing for the DAWGS
I hope Georgia honors it -
Note from Huffman about Latu at this weekend’s camp:
Spanaway (Wash.) Bethel linebacker Will Latu participated despite Bethel not playing in the tournament. Latu, a Polynesian Bowl selection, committed to hometown Washington in June, and with the WIAA's decision to move the high school football season to March, Latu, who had planned to graduate in December and enroll in January, will stay on that plan and has opted to skip his senior year. Physically, this was the best we've seen Latu look in over two years. Playing mostly receiver, Latu looked to be in the best shape in some time, running well and showing the soft hands we've always known him to have. -

Latu is one of those guys who is a freak at any weight now

Losing 2 inches of height is a concern though.......... -

Losing height at 3% and gaining weight at 13% annually means that in three years Will Latu will be ~5’4” and 377 pounds.
Meanwhile, Noah Sewell is defying the Poly genetics Ballz was an expert on AND the laws of gravity.
Oregon has stopped listing weights on the team roster for now, most likely to prevent internet bullying. -

Don't we have gravity boots in the team workout facilities?

Unless the weight gain was planned and approved the risk of Latu not making an impact increased significantly with this news

It wasn’t planned.Tequilla said:Unless the weight gain was planned and approved the risk of Latu not making an impact increased significantly with this news
We knew he had work to do to get bad weight under control. Now we have numbers to back it up.
He’s naturally athletic. If he can get his weight down he’ll be good. If he can’t, he’ll be worthless.
Same as it was when we signed. -
Anybody know whatever happened to Pete? He still playing JUCO?

I thought Peter was at Snow JC but their roster doesn’t list him. That means the twitter bio isn’t RIP Anu Snow as I originally deciphered it, but more likely it is:
RIP anus now
Which can mean many things depending on whether it’s RIP or rip, but neither is too pleasant. This is why you get decent grades in high school, kids - your anus depends on it. -
Maybe he means RIP Rowan? Ever think of that?RatherBeBrewing said:dnc said:Anybody know whatever happened to Pete? He still playing JUCO?

Next Ryan Bowman...I’d be ok with that.
