The season will ride on Van Winkle.

Breakout: Feeney - say he puts it all together and puts up an all conference year. He's bigger, stronger and hopefully healthier. With real coaching he is going to blow up. Plus, Girl Meets World just came out. It's destined to be Feeney's year.

Disappointment: Kasen Williams - He's been overrated since day one. If the injury saps any of his athleticism he becomes extremely ordinary. Really hope I'm wrong because a big strong number one receiver would help Miles a ton, but I think we're really going to miss Stringfellow. -
Breakout player Offense: Dwayne Washington continues the amazing run of RBs UW has had over the past decade. He looked for real against a ranked oregon state.
Disappointment player Offense: Kasen Williams, I really didnt think he looked that great before getting injured. He seemed slow off the line, lacked a change of gears when cutting, is kinda slow when playing, and generally lacked any explosiveness to create separation. Having a leg amputated isnt going to help him there. Its really hard to catch the ball if you cant create separation from your defender.
Breakout player Defense: Marcus Peters great size, speed and instincts. Was only a sophomore last year and should emerge as one of the best CBs in the Pac12 in the next two years IMO. having a pretty good DL should help him a lot too.
Disappointment player Defense: John Timu, has poor instincts, often gets lost in the offensive line on running plays, struggles to meet the RB at the point of attack. Hardy Har Har he was our 3rd leading tackler last year, IDGAF... disappointment is written all over this one.
Bonus breakout: Whoever is playing on the DL opposite of Shelton and Kikaha... seriously One on One every fucking play with the entire offensive lines attention on where those other two guys are... Hudson? also Corey littleton looked pretty great as a sophomore last year too
Bonus disappointment: Shaq... Safety turned LB RB hybrid turned wanna be Jack Miles continues to struggle to live up to his 5 star all superhero sark recruit status. James Atoe former future top 5 draft pick has been no where to be found. Sources speculate that training with Ben Ossai is making sure he is ready to rumble for the up coming season though. -
I agree on Timu.

Van Winkle is still the sleeper.
Callier will be disappointing as he will be lost in depth. -
+Darrell Daniels
- Kikaha -
I'll bite. I won't list any disappointments, because I am a positive DAWG.
Offense: John Ross - Speed speed speed!!
Defense: Andrew Hudson - Last chance for him, and he always had potential. I think he has a good year.
This kind of stuff is a crap shoot, though. Who knows what will happen after a coaching change and 8 months in the weight room?
