Middle of the night thought from Ocean Shores

14 teams just fucks the divisions up royally. I guess BSU would complement the 6 north teams but yuck. What a disgusting structure and college to include.
BSU is only if WSU is kicked out for being poor.
I really can’t think of any school to add to the PAC at this point. We’d just dilute what we have. And really should be looking to drop WSU and OSU. -
Did you take a walk on the beach to get some perspective?DerekJohnson said:If Texas and Oklahoma leave for the SEC, then Kalashnikov should bring Oklahoma State and Boise State into the Pac-12. Boise, Idaho is growing like crazy and within 5 years it will no longer be considered a small town.

The Huskies should join the SEC
Vanderbilt of the West -
Research institutions snd yadda yadda yadda. Not likely.DerekJohnson said:If Texas and Oklahoma leave for the SEC, then Kalashnikov should bring Oklahoma State and Boise State into the Pac-12. Boise, Idaho is growing like crazy and within 5 years it will no longer be considered a small town.

Not sure why you would make fun of Vandy hereRaceBannon said:The Huskies should join the SEC

If we?re adding G5 then UNLV is the most obvious addition for the TV market.
Butt I don't want to add G5. -
Adding two decent teams but small brands would just make the Pac more of a laughing stock.
The changes are so dramatic and sudden at this point (NIL, CFP, media deals, recruiting) that you have to break the old pac mold completely. Can't just add weak brands to it. -

You eat at Moby Dick’s?

Rick Neuheisal just said PAC-12 needs to jump QUICK! and get Texas Tech, TCU, Kansas and Kansas State while they still can.
My Immediate thought was, sure. That will hold back Oregon and USC from jumping into the SEC West. -
Those four are worse than the Utah/Colorado disaster.doogie said:Rick Neuheisal just said PAC-12 needs to jump QUICK! and get Texas Tech, TCU, Kansas and Kansas State while they still can.

I don't consider Oklahoma State to be worthless. But I can understand the other side of the debate.

Go long on the Mormons if you do Boise St, get BYU
-
Jen Cohen needed to jump quick (ie Wednesday at noon day story broke) and let the Big 10 know we would be interested in joining their conference.doogie said:Rick Neuheisal just said PAC-12 needs to jump QUICK! and get Texas Tech, TCU, Kansas and Kansas State while they still can.

Pac-12 can grab any and all teams from here to Stillwater and make it the Pac 14-24 and it's not going to move the needle at all from a National Perspective or tv audience ratings.
We needed OU/Texas to come this way if we wanted to be a SuperConfernce. Now were just a bigger have not than we were at beginning of week.
If I'm SC, I am running scenarios as to why going independent ISN'T the best option for them. -
As far as G5 teams go BYU would absolutely be the way to go. They have an national brand and have connections to teams in the PAC already. Add them and TCU for the Texas croots
-
NO CHURCH SCHOOLS!
-
I do t give a fuck about a church school if they’re good and a good addition but taking BYU is a downgrade.
-
BYU moves the needle more than coug beav zona and cal. They won a fake natty since ww2 remember

Ocean Shores. You sound poor.

Get 2% tf outta here too. -
Is all this expansion crap coming out of the new proposal for expanding the playoffs?
Just transform all the leagues into 7 10 team leagues and those all go into the playoffs along with one from the remaining 60 or so unaffiliated teams, 130 teams - 70 in preferred playoff leagues and 60 teams to be independent/other leagues/whatever they want to do.
We would go back to the PAC 10 - the Big 10 would actually be the Big 10 etc. and every league champ would play every team in the league. -
You think the NCAA can make the SEC conform to your grand plan there? Never could happenLebamDawg said:Is all this expansion crap coming out of the new proposal for expanding the playoffs?
