Who here is old enough to remember when Bruce Harrell played for the huskies in the late 70s?

That is just before my time. How good was he really?

His bio and handlers are trying to make him sound like he was so good that NFL scouts were very interested and they would have drafted him but he decided to pursue a law degree instead, and then politics.

And now he seems to be the leading candidate for Seattle mayor in this year's election.

I was about 8 years old when he was a senior, but I remember him as being a solid guy but certainly not an NFL prospect.

I remember he picked off a pass against Utah and returned it 5 yards for a touchdown.

He was a good player as I recall. But my memory has been chinfluenced by many a beer, shots of various kinds, and the inhaling of other stuff.

I liked him more as a player than a politician

Bruce is an overall good guy, but the kind of guy who also thinks they're a great guy. I would crack beers with him...would've been a hell of a lot more fun than lobbying him in City Hall ever was.

Bruce was a member of the 77 team that won the rose bowl and was one of the better
players on a team that had a lot of good players... and a lot of balance on both sides of the ball.

Standouts were Bush, Flick as the backup and of course Moon, a really good offensive line, good running
backs with Joe Steele and Ron Gipson and a defense with good lineman like browning and bethea and Martin
[one of our best DL group ever] good CB's like Glasgow and the infamous Mark Lee, topped off by talented LB's
like the legendary Michael Jackson, + the above average LB's Antowaine Richardson and Bruce Harrell.

This was a really solid team with a lot of talent ~ Michigan was shocked to lose the game, but the Dub players
went into that that game expecting to win.

He's got my vote. Mostly by default. Lorena Gonzalez is a fucking idiot.
