If he was already thinking about coming out, and then he has a financial incentive for doing so (which he would anyways, even if those are hypothetical opportunities at more income versus something written in to a contract), that could be a reason for doing it. The guy's not an idiot. He was on Hard Knocks teaching financial planning to all of his teammates. If I had some particular identity trait and was in a position to capitalize on it I would make the decision to do so.animate said:
