Car dealerships run ads with the star player driving a new vette that they get for the promo value of the ad seems like the outcome of this decision... am i just missing something here besides my vette?

I think the compensation has to tie back to some component of being a student. I don't think so, I think the ruling is that the NCAA can not limit or regulate compensation for athletes [likeness and otherwise] by saying they come under our purview simply because they are students... if i understand this correctly. Maybe i am way off base but that is how it sounds...
I wonder if this means that i can now buy a championship by pay to play importing players in my little league baseball team... -
