Beijing's takeover. Beijing is putting the finishing touches on its takeover of Hong Kong politics. On Thursday, Hong Kong’s increasingly rubber-stamp legislature approved sweeping changes to the special administrative region’s electoral process that strengthen Beijing’s veto over who can run and what they can say. The new law also shrinks the number of lawmakers on the Legislative Council who are directly elected to 20 from 35, while doubling the number of appointed seats to 70.

TKS sees nothing wrong with this. The people in Hong Kong protesting just don’t get it.

What ever happened to the protests? Did they die in darkness?

If you have any doubt that China has bought off large portions of American media you shouldn't

How much coverage do you hear about China's role in flooding the country with Fentanyl?

What we need is to sign a comprehensive treaty with the chicoms on climate change and ending gain of function research. After all, Hong Kong signed a treaty and then found out that communists and fascists (Peace in our time) don't do treaties. But "American" state department socialists love pieces of paper.
