The SARS virus in 2003 was directly traced to horse shoe bats to civet to humans in Southern China. The chicom crud for some reason hasn't been traced to any species. What we do know is that the chicoms were doing gain of function on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan in negligently managed bio facilities, then lied about the outbreak, imprisoned anyone who knew about the initial outbreak and claimed it did jump from human to humans, destroyed samples and then refused to cooperate in any real examination of the outbreak.
