There is virtually nothing on the internet worth any time. There is nothing on television, no pro sports worthwhile, no movies to speak of with redeeming value.... the same companies are pushing the same shit, more and more, less and less competition, till it will be just amazon, google, and one or two others. All the time in the media I see the same boring people, again and again, the same faces, pushed at us relentlessly. It is nothing but a ghastly descent into hell, a horrible waste of time, the constant pushing of crap at people too stupid to know the difference.

    But the problem with your approach is that in order to avoid the hipster label, you have to be a conformist.

    Last night I turn on the TV news, and there is this story about this girl who wants to be a guy and live with guys. The first thing I thought was that there is nothing on the fucking news, it is a waste of time. Now whether I am or am not a hipster, whether I am or am not liking the label, there is still the problem that watching conventional TV news is a waste of time. But in order to avoid your label I would have to watch the stupid TV news.
