Thanks Taft!

This reads like a Fleenor post telling us in May that spring football is back.

The demographic of the current UW student has as much to do with fan apathy as Social Media distractions
-
Eh. 9k for a spring game in the pandemic, a lot of those students, isnt that badBaseman said:The demographic of the current UW student has as much to do with fan apathy as Social Media distractions

They got there just before halftime and were gone by the end of the third quarter. The students don't hang around in season, either.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

If you grew up with the last 20 years of UW football you’d probably have little interest too. Can’t put all the blame on the students.
-
No blame. They just don't give a fuck. If the Pac12 network can't catch on in China how can UW expect their students to keep their ass in their seat for 3 hours?biak1 said:If you grew up with the last 20 years of UW football you’d probably have little interest too. It's an excuse to get drunk, porking lot, cheap seats, etc. The team being good shouldn't even factor in to the decision.biak1 said:If you grew up with the last 20 years of UW football you’d probably have little interest too. Can’t put all the blame on the students.

Pre game there was big laughter in the media room here at a 10K limit of fans as in no one would show
9 grand is pretty good for here. IN a PANDEMIC -
UW has determined that they would rather get their paid from out of state students and out of country students. The kind of students that enjoyed football and grew up going to gaymes with their two dads, the local 3.6 jock in High School, can't get within 25 miles of UW.Baseman said:

Yes the students that leave in the 3rd suck. Thats on the AD to find better ways to keep them there besides tshirts, and on our program to be better in general
Usually when i notice the student section is thin is when we are playing North Dakota or blowing someone out
The overall point on uw enrollment is spot on though -
Pretty spot on and that is a huge contributor to the erosion of the fanbase. Most of those kids become ducks or coogs now, or go off to ASU.Alexis said:

UW used to carry enough prestige in washington that kids who couldn't get in were still UW sports fans. That is an almost completely dead phenomenon. -
Winning some big games and popping off might have something to do with all of this
