It probably will be.

Flu shots are developed each year depending on the prevalence of the strains seen in the previous years so with very little activity this year, there is a greater chance the next cycle of flu shots will be less protective of whatever strains circulate.

Though there has been little activity of flu this year, it doesn't mean that it's gone. Flu has well documented animal reservoirs with frequent human contact (swine and foul), so it might come back strong next year depending on human behavior and international travel.
