    The most effective law in my lifetime. Can't tell you how many gang members I'd stop that were deathly afraid of getting that third strike. They toed the line way more than previously.

    Definitely not. I own many so called "assault weapons". All Bullshit. I carried an AR and an MP5 everyday for years for work as well. In fact I won the rifle stage at the 3 gun World Championships long ago shooting an evil assault weapon ie: modern sporting rifle.
