    I never thought about it but the point he makes about the family getting millions prior to the verdict is going to really help the guy on his appeal.

    Yes. The trial judge was in the tank, you think you are going to get a highly partisan Minnesota court to overturn the jury verdict? Moving the venue and sequestering the jurors was a no brainer if you wanted justice. The trial judge didn't and neither will the appeals court or the Minnesota Supreme Court.
