Actually, VDH is just speaking truth to power. The view that humanity has changed from thousands of years ago to today, is a modern construct. VDH realizes how fragile a civilization is as he is a student of history. I'm was happy with a status quo which is a functioning Constitutional republic, secure borders, a desire for a color blind society with liberty and freedom and a free market with strong property laws protecting it.
