Weird how the left never talks about this when they decry the high cost of College

To have that discussion would be racist.

As one that actually worked at a college. That’s all anyone talked about when discussing the costs.
Labor was over 65% of the budget where I was at IIRC -

I want 5,402.66 of student loans to be forgiven
I have my reasons
It would be racist not to -
There is no going back cost wise on college. Once the government backed the loans it was all over.

Basically anyone getting some sort of liberal arts degree is getting a negative education for a ton of someone's money. I can't imagine a Slobberer resume getting any attention from a private sector employer that had a priority on making money.Bob_C said:There is no going back cost wise on college. Reason 438 why I no longer give money to the UofO

Ditto. I do pay for my seat license, but this will probably be my last year. This gets me on the "Live" list and I get the college kids calling me for more donations. I tell the poor woke bastards that as long as Oregon funds the bias response team which hunts down conservatives no go. Seems to shock the sh*t out of them.SFGbob said:Reason 438 why I no longer give money to the UofO

Defund higher education. Good start.

IDAHO HOUSE REJECTS HIGHER ED BUDGET DUE TO CONCERNS OVER WOKEISM
The Idaho House has overwhelmingly rejected the state’s proposed higher education budget because of concerns about the promotion by the state’s colleges and universities of a “social justice” agenda and the teaching of critical race theory. The vote was 13-57.
The appropriations bill rejected by the House had cut $409,000 from Boise State University’s bottom line, shifting that funding to Lewis-Clark State College. The reason for the shift was that Boise State is seen as promoting “social justice ideology” and activities.
But members of the House are also troubled by similar forms of wokeism at Lewis-Clark and the University of Idaho. And they didn’t view the Senate as going far enough to stop the rot.
Rep. Ron Nate stated:
We have seen in Idaho. . .problems with social justice and critical race theory. And so as we reject this budget today and send it back to JFAC [Joint-Finance Appropriations Committee], we ought to give that kind of direction to JFAC that we expect a budget back with a significant cut that at least sends the message — and also gives the universities the opportunity to demonstrate that they’re willing to make the changes needed to make us feel comfortable about funding higher education that matches Idaho values again. -
This should end well.WestlinnDuck said:Defund higher education. Good start.

Shockingly, the University of Idaho and #myvandals is a bastion of liberal thought and is far more 'progressive' than their neighbors 8 miles to the west.HHusky said:

BTW, Idaho taxpayers won't pay for your penis extension, either. -
Evergreen State should be completely defunded.

The average cost of sending a student to private school in NYC cost the famiy 19k a year on average
The average cost of sending a student to public school in NYC cost the taxpayer 24k a year on average
Seattle public 19k
Seattle private 17k
https://www.privateschoolreview.com/tuition-stats/private-school-cost-by-state
https://educationdata.org/public-education-spending-statistics
National private - 11.1k
National public - 12.6k
This is utterly ridiculous and the big cities and liberal states often have the biggest discrepancies.
Red states are better but not by enough. You basically reverse the numbers above for red states.
The amount of money the government wastes on public schools is mind boggling
But hey...they need more money because why misspend 10k a year when you can misspend 15k.

Why do conservatives care more about inner city black kids than leftards? Same with why do conservatives care more about stopping blacks from killing blacks than leftards? It's almost like they really don't care about educating black kids or keeping them alive.

Because blacks killing blacks can't be pushed as a political narrative that helps the Rats, therefore outside of a call for more gun control, blacks killing blacks is ignored.WestlinnDuck said:Why do conservatives care more about inner city black kids than leftards?
