Based on nba mock drafts and assuming no transfers or decommits, they are on track to have 10 top 100 guys on their team next year and they play in the WCC. You're crazy if you don't think they're a 1 or 2 seed next year, which gives them another good chance at a nattyBleachedAnusDawg said:

Baylor virtually returns everyone and also has two top 25 recruits. Michigan is bringing in top recruits. UCLA and Duke have top recruits. You gotta strike while the irons hot.
They ran into a really good team and lost. They beat USC by 20. The same USC that beat Kansas by 30+. All the talk about Gonzaga not being athletic enough is archaic bullshit and wishful thinking. You think it’s true because they lost to Baylor, but it’s not.
Homgren is 7 feet and weighs 195. He is doing nothing in the near-term. Zags are sorely lacking wing players who can defend and shoot 3's. Kispert couldn't keep up on defense and choked all game. -

Baylor had a ton of guards that will play in the NBA and that probably was Gonzaga’s big weakness ... stopping dribble penetration. -
Agree that they have to win one. My point is the opportunities aren’t going away. They are one of the destination schools for recruits and transfers. They still are the top destination for the top foreign recruits too. They aren’t going anywhere and any big proclamations other than that they are really good are FS and inaccurate.Baseman said:

Ayayi is really good and probably a first round pick but still. The Florida transfer was a five star. Kispert played bad in the tournament. It’s hard to win when a guy a team depends on struggles.
They got beat by a better team. Gonzaga is still one of the premier programs. There really isn’t a better program set up for success the next five years. They lost. That’s it. There is nothing to take from the loss.
Unless they win the big one they’re Ccllege basketball’s 1990’s Buffalo Bills, destined to be a forgotten historical footnote. -
