I'm glad the firecoachsark.com website is still up

That usually shoots down any Troojan or Doog argument pretty quick.

When we are busy going to the Rose Bowl in the next 2-3 years under Petersen and SC is in their soon to be annual rut of 6-3 > 6-3 > 6-3 (throwing in an extra win b/c SC is SC), I hope that there's a www.thankyoupathadenfs.com

The site is great though for 1) the quick fire fact sheet and 2) the comments that are tied to saying that we should be aiming for Tim DeRuyter

Your welcome. I'll continue to keep it up as a public service.
Here is what pisses me off about Sark.
Sark is one of the very few coaches who didn't have to work his way up to being a HC. It took him only 8 years to be a HC. It takes most guys 20 years. Plus, he spent his 8 years mostly at USC. Look at guys like Mark Dantonio, Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. These guys toiled at multiple shit places for years then after roughly 20 years became head coaches.
Not only did Sark not have to put in any time and hard work to get the job, he also got the greatest job anyone could ever get. He took over, what was until 2004 a top 15 program with a history of competing for national championships coming off a 0 win season with extremely low expectations. Metrics superiority guy looked at the 2004-2008 stretch and he said that no top 25 program comes close to having as shitty of a 5 year period. Its a total historical anomaly (though Colorado is coming close).
Anyway, there was no way anyone would be viewed as a failure and they could use the job to get an even better job. The fuckwad then gets the USC job. And he's only 40. His career will be headed downhill before he's 45 though. I take solace in that.

I thought Tim DeRuyter would have been much better than Sark, and before Woodward proved he could put on big boy pants I would have been happy as shit for that trade.

Good reason to be thankful that Woody pulled on the big boy pants to go get a big boy HC.Swaye said:I thought Tim DeRuyter would have been much better than Sark, and before Woodward proved he could put on big boy pants I would have been happy as shit for that trade.
Two things to keep in mind for people that seem to forget this kind of shit:
1) We're Fucking Washington
2) Hiring anybody from USC often turns out to be a bad move for us -
Couldn't agree more, I just didn't see Pool Boy (at the time) really stepping up.Tequilla said:

He went 9-4 last year. Saying otherwise is silly.

I'm probably getting whooshed by dnc but I would probably take Petersen over Mora, and I say this as a longtime Mora fanboy.

No whoosh, I'd still take Mora first, but I love beating for PeteGladstone said:I'm probably getting whooshed by dnc but I would probably take Petersen over Mora, and I say this as a longtime Mora fanboy.

Of the semi-realistic names floated around, I think the only one I'd take over CP would be Dantonio, being a defense guy. Mora #3.dnc said:

CP and Mora are 1A and 1B to me. Would have loved either one. I still have to pinch myself sometimes that Woodward finally located his balls.
-
No chance I'd have taken Dantonio over Mora. Once upon a time I'd have considered Brian Kelly, though. Also, Brian Kelly.GrundleStiltzkin said:

is someone gonna register the firecoachpeetamus.com domain name>?

If he goes 5-4 in conference the next 2 years, you bet your ass we will.PostGameOrangeSlices said:is someone gonna register the firecoachpeetamus.com domain name>?

By far the best thing about CP is his record of course and his conviction that he believes uw can without question be a national powerhouse.
And of course he doesn't go talking about it like some other idiot sarkissian -
I doubt he goes 5-4 for two years but if anyone deserves time its Petersen. Remember Saban lost to some tiny ass school his first year at Alabama. By the end of his 2nd year he had a national championship contender.Swaye said:

Petersen is going to be here for 10+ years and he's going to build a program that is in the top 10 4/5 years. The only hiccup I see is 2015 bc of Sark's disastrous OL recruiting. -
Peterson wont need moar time, he has this coaching thing dialed in.
-
I don't see him going 5-4 two years in a row either, but if he does, and gets boat raced a few time sin there....door. ass. out.HeretoBeatmyChest said:
