He can't get the athletes necessary to go to Spokane. Talent-bed in Seattle has plenty. If Few wants a championship he should have his agent looking for a gig somewhere else. North Carolina should've waited a few days before making a hire.

Did you watch the game? They could not come close to matching Baylor's foot speed, nor handle Baylor's defensive pressure. Gonzaga had Suggs who could handle and create, but not another person on that team could both get their own shot and actually make it. I disagree. Their recruiting has gotten drastically better these past few years. They used to rely heavily on international players and transfers. Now they're getting 5 stars. I think they win one in the next couple years

This. He us only 59 later this year. He has a good five or six years left if he doesn't burn out first. Baylor blew the doors off them, but if you think that means that Gonzaga doesn't have the horses to win it all then I just can't follow your logic. Kentucky in 2012 had a great team too. Baylor was definitely good. Gonzaga wasn’t playing their best ball when they needed to. -
Only one guy (Suggs) could handle the pressure. Baylor was in their chests and Zag players could not get past them or initiate their offense. It was glaring. They also didn't have guys on defense who could keep up in isolation. Baylor guards all had 20+ pounds of muscle on their counterparts and were faster. Homgren is 7 feet and weighs 195. He is doing nothing in the near-term. Zags are sorely lacking wing players who can defend and shoot 3's. Kispert couldn't keep up on defense and choked all game. -

Ayayi is really good and probably a first round pick but still. The Florida transfer was a five star. Kispert played bad in the tournament. It’s hard to win when a guy a team depends on struggles.
They got beat by a better team. Gonzaga is still one of the premier programs. There really isn’t a better program set up for success the next five years. They lost. That’s it. There is nothing to take from the loss. -

In 05 UW beat Oregon State by 40, then lost by 17 in the rematch. Team A beats Team B who beat Team C who beat Team D who beat Team A is one of the poorest arguments in sports.

Gonzaga was really good this year. However after watching Baylor beat Villanova I was very confident they would be overmatched vs Baylor. Baylor was extremely athletic. That said the zags were athletic enough to beat any other team sans Baylor.
All this talk of few will never get it done is stupid. He may not but he has lost a 50/50 game with his pg playing injured down the stretch for the title to unc.
Single elimination is cruel to some coaches as you really just have to consistently get to the final four and you will break through. But you will lose a lot too.
Same shit about never gonna win was also said about roy williams, bill self, lute Olsen, boeheim and Calhoun before they all won their first. This Gonzaga team probably beats anyone except Baylor. Baylor was Really good. -
