Near where I live they have a refinery. It's in Richmond, California. The refinery has been there for over 100 years. When it was first built there were few if any people living there. During the war thousands and thousands of people moved to Richmond to work in the shipyards. They moved to where the refinery was. The refinery didn't come to them. After the war the shipyards closed and many of the people who moved to Richmond stayed there. Now the people of Richmond scream "environmental racism" because there is a refinery where they live. -
