More interested in the actual clip and interview versus some dude’s opinion in his basement that interjects way too much of him into very small sound bites that makes it impossible to follow the interview or it’s context

The guy being interviewed says “if the left isn’t careful the right is going to elect a fascist” and Carlson says “yes, that’s right”.
I’ve got an interrupted 5-10 second sound bite without context ... so I’d encourage anybody to watch a full interview that is unedited to form opinions as a starting point

The direction both parties seem to be going in is all about “I’m right and you’re wrong,” heavily polarized, and limiting influence from their opposition.

Be advised that that’s not me supporting the positions of either side at this point because they both are racing to heavily untenable positions

I don’t have the solution other than the status quo is broken

You got him now. Tucker is OVER.
If Rachel Maddow agreed with someone that we should gulag Trumpers if they don’t start being nice to us, this board would melt the fuck down.

I’m just hear because Tucker is conceding that fascism is right wing.

I feel like I spent my life in a protect the status quo and work with the opposition, or at least give lip service to it, country and the results were bad. King of the libs Obama sucked and moderate conservative Dubya was a disaster. Bipartisanship has mostly led to more wars and financially benefited the rich and the politicians.

You can point to the failures of socialism and you can point to the fascism that comes when you move too far right and be worried about the status quo being broken and where that takes us. But there are politicians offering something else. Ones who want to end American imperialism, to get money out of politics and who offer us an economic path forward that’s proven. Their names are Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“You can point to the failures of socialism”

Yet you promote Bernie’s and AOC’s economic paths. I’m now convinced you’re actually retarded.

You were doing well until that last sentence. Embarrassing.

The Nordic countries aren’t doing as great as you think.

Finland has a bankrupt health care system

    Finland unemployment approaching 8%

“Meanwhile, the Norwegians seem to have lost their parsimonious, workaholic, Lutheran mojo. Norwegians treat Friday as a “free day” and take more sick leave than anyone else in Europe, if not the world — a law enshrines their right to claim sick days even while on holiday. And they don’t want to work in fish-processing factories anymore. They’ve delegated that to cheap foreign laborers, while, at the same time, the popularity of the right-wing, anti-immigration Progress Party indicates declining tolerance for those very outsiders.”

    And a 75% tax rate.

Let’s also not forget the millions of young people fleeing these countries after college to avoid these taxes.

    Sounds great!

There’s a good documentary on Amazon Prime about Sweden’s adventure with socialism.

They’ve swung way back toward a market economy after essentially fucking up every facet of their society.

School vouchers are all they rage there now too.

    Do they have standardized tests?

There are no perfect options but if you can’t make it through the top of your list without “and they don’t work Fridays!” I feel pretty good about it.
