RICHLAND -- The Richland School Board voted to return to full-time, in person learning for all students K-12, contingent on the state allowing the district to move forward.
The decision was unanimous by the board during its first in-person meeting in months.
Rick Jansons made the motion to begin everyday, in-person learning for all students K-12 on April 19. That date was decided upon after a recommendation by the school district superintendent.
The district would continue tp provide students with an online, safe alternative for families who don't feel comfortable sending children back to class.
The district must now wait to see if the Washington Office Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Washington Department of Health or Gov. Jay Inslee release new guidance regarding distance between students.
Recently the Centers of Disease Control announced that it was safe for students to return to school and maintain a distance of three feet among other pupils.

A big part of the So Cal traffic loss was rom schools being closed. You can tell when they are open - not busses per se but lots of parents, teachers, and staff on the roaddflea said:I'm seeing the school buses out on the roads again.

A lot of folks who have been enjoying So Cal freeways as they were designed are going to have a tough time going back to the long crawl -
I was just thinking about the last time I had to sit behind flashing red lights. Long time.
