I've been taking a long walk to gain some much needed perspective. I've been asking myself:
Why do I rule this realm?
To what purpose have I plied my authority, expertise and insight in this house of darkness?
Do I really care what happens to my subjects in their retirement, or whether they overpay for their houses, or send their kids to crappy schools, or lose all their money gambling on made-up money?
Why do I root for the Ducks for Christ's sake?
Who is this Derek Johnson guy anyway?
So I consulted with some consultants. I also visited @Ballz and @NorthwestFresh for some outside-of-the-box thinking and asked them for their perspective. That was interesting. Turns out it's the same guy.
I am not back for long; my travels take me to yet another foreign land whereat I shall seek even more perspective. I am happy to see the forum is functioning well on its own.
