Did Capitalism Save Communist China? (KobeStopper -- avert your eyes)

I’ve said many times on this board that China has state capitalism.

I’ve pointed out how brain dead stupid it is to insist China is communist, say “communism has always failed” and then claim they’re a threat to destroy us.

An important aspect of fascist economies was economic dirigism, meaning an economy where the government often subsidizes favorable companies and exerts strong directive influence over investment, as opposed to having a merely regulatory role. Fascist governments allow private citizens to own them. The state may own some companies, but it is more likely to establish cartels of business within the industries. It hands out contracts, thereby co-opting business owners to serve the state.
