“I don’t think that the central feature of cancel culture and...political correctness, I don’t think it’s a battle between free speech and censorship so much as it’s a battle between competing sets of standards. Of course, we all think that there should be accountability. You know in the 1950s if you openly espoused communism, you would be cancelled in Hollywood or in the federal government and I think that’s perfectly right and just. The question here is what are these people being cancelled for?”

He’s right. You guys have always cancelled people, from communists to Kaepernick. The difference now is that people like you get cancelled, instead of “them”.
It has nothing to do with free speech or China or the future of this country. It’s self preservation.

Throughout history, any group that has worked in anyway to inhibit speech has been on the wrong side of history.
You're up.
Fuck off.

This isn't an issue

I agree, cancel culture isn’t a real issue. That is beyond dispute.RaceBannon said:This isn't an issue

Seder's an idiot. And I think a lawyer. But we know what that means, 'cause Dazzler has shown us how low that achievement can be.
Anyhow, Seder doesn't get the difference between not buying someone's jersey and erasing everything they've done form the historical record. Last I checked, Kaepernick's stats are still on ESPN and nobody has de-platformed him and refused to publish his content.
He turns people off himself. That's different than a Twitter mob of 25 people and their 10k alts getting someone banned from the internet. -
Whenever it’s an issue of identity politics and race, I always turn to two nerdy white boys
