Fauci is medicines equivalent of politics Biden

He's had more flip flops than a house of pancakes. I understand with new bugs that it takes a while to get your reads down and sometimes you have to tell some fibs to prevent a panic. But you only get so many of those flip flops before the public starts to tune you out.LebamDawg said:Fauci is medicines equivalent of politics Biden

The real problem is how incompetent the government is along with the MSM. It was all about wrecking the economy and blaming it on Trump. When the Tug conservatives could figure this thing out in March of 2020 it wasn't that hard. All you had to do was review the Diamond Princess facts. Then toss in that this was the chicom crud that came out of the Wuhan Lab. Consider that Cho Bai Den was calling the governor of Texas a Neanderthal for opening up his state while never saying a word about the Luv Gov.YellowSnow said:

Bend has felt very relaxed compared to PDX or SEA. Most everyone wanted schools open. When the extreme regs weren't in place, most bars and restaurants were busy (as they could be during Covid times). Hotels were running at 99% OCC last summer. We hang out with the neighbors a lot sans masks, but it's always outside for the most part.WestlinnDuck said:
Good question. If we had some sort of national disease organization that had billions in funding and and had an huge degree of scientific intellectual curiosity we might have an answer. Washington started of hot with a huge nursing home outbreak. No clue about Idaho. Having just spent a week in White Wakanda, Bend has a huge different feel than suburban Portland. Maybe because I was hanging with my daughter and future son in-law and their friends, but still not as much fear as here in Portland.YellowSnow said:
But why should Oregon have faired far better than Idaho? Like half the deaths.PurpleThrobber said:

Not a loaded question here... Why is this? Is Oregon a "healthier" state overall? Are we? good little rule followers?

And Utahans, as you well know, are conditioned to do whatever the LDS Big Guy says and are notoriously gullible for any number of scams.
And for the record, 25% of Idaho is in communion with the Bishop of Salt Lake.
My theory on Oregon: healthy population compared the rest of the country and vulnerable citizens taking necessary steps to mitigate risks. -
The half of the state that is in the Pacific Time Zone does not recognize the legitimacy of Boise as the state capital or the authority of the SLC cabal.YellowSnow said:

I'm very skeptical as to the extent to which blue state govs were trying to make their economies worse through heavy handed lock downs in order to thwart Trump's re-election prospects. I think those gov's were simply responding to the policy preferences of their constituents, which is the think that the solution of everything is more government intervention. You see the blue / red state divide on this in any number of areas regardless of who is in the oval office. You think the FS teacher's unions in the major metros were going back to in person during a pandemic with HRC in power? Fuck no.WestlinnDuck said:

At the end of the day, I think the types of locks downs we had in WA, OR and CA were counter-productive and didn't save that many lives.

I’ve said it before, the guy simply carries water for big Pharma. He’s been a nerd his whole life and relishes finally getting a spotlight on his life’s work. There were so many times he didn’t know what he was talking about and he never seemed to admit that he didn’t know.YellowSnow said:

This is why you get some criticism from the conservatives. First, you underestimate the hatred for Trump from the left. The governor of Michigan threatened the jobs of any doctor that prescribed HCL for chicom crud victims because Trump semi-endorsed it. You think that was rational government intervention. At some point, your constituents are not just Trump haters and government unions. They all hated Trump. They were all on the government dole and didn't lose a pay check. I would say that they enthusiastically adopted a destroy small businesses program for political advantage. You would agree on not agree? You think Kate Brown cares about private sector folks? Oregon is top five in less impacted by the chicom crud and kids in West Linn are still not back in school.YellowSnow said:

I don't underestimate the left's hatred of Trump at all. And I don't think the heavy handed lock downs were the correct policy response. Where I disagree with you is that I don't think the policy response to Covid on a state level would have looked any different with a Dem in the WH. The voters in the PDX and SEA metro area are morons and get the governance they deserve.WestlinnDuck said:

Case in point: I read the other day that 40% of parents in the Seattle Public School District still don't want their kids back in in-person learning. That's a staggering number at this point in the game and indicative of the paranoid lunacy of the electorate. Those folks want to be locked down. -
