When I parent my kids, I typically put both the aggressor and the instigator on timeout.
It’s what I do to remind them that my word is not a suggestion...it’s law. And if your brother kicked you because you taunted him, you probably need some time off for self reflection as well. -

I guess it is all about nurture. Our family was thunderdome and my big brother had an 18 year unbeaten streak against me. My folks told me to train harder.
The good thing was that I was unbeaten on the road against lesser competition -

I used to dream about that day when I was a kid and when I finally reached the point in time where I could have done it, in my mid-20s we all liked each other.
