Raiders of the Lost ArkNot much of a competition this year.
-
Raiders of the Lost ArkThe best fantasy/action/adventure series ever, even with the Chrystal Skull debacle. It kills Star Wars and the LOTR flicks according to chuck, and Raiders was the best one.

Stripes

Raiders of the Lost ArkFlawless from first frame to last. From editing to soundtrack. Cinematography to script. In my top 10 all time list.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
It truly is. I doubt another film had as significant of an impact on young Yella Piss.Gladstone said:Flawless from first frame to last. From editing to soundtrack. Cinematography to script. In my top 10 all time list.
I had the map room toy set for crying out loud.

Raiders of the Lost Ark@YellowSnow I feel like this is the first year where you and I agreed on a movie 😂

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Savor it.Gladstone said:@YellowSnow I feel like this is the first year where you and I agreed on a movie 😂

StripesI acknowledge the superiority of Raiders but Stripes was in that sweet spot for great National Lampoon / SNL comedies.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
It's that rare perfect movie which appeals to a sci fi / make believe guy like you and a history noyd like me, even though it's completely implausible that the Nazis would have been allowed to dig for treasure in Egypt in 1936. Their military was still shit in that year.Gladstone said:@YellowSnow I feel like this is the first year where you and I agreed on a movie 😂

I've never watched Stripe. Pretty embarrassed to admit this.RaceBannon said:I acknowledge the superiority of Raiders but Stripes was in that sweet spot for great National Lampoon / SNL comedies.

Raiders of the Lost ArkI waffled all over the place because Raiders is fantastic, but Stripes and Excalibur are also long time faves.

F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...Well, I was one, so I'm guessing The Fox and the Hound?
Stripes was a favorite of one of my dads, so I watched it a lot when I was a kid. Great movie.
Missing from the list are History of the World Part I, Evil Dead, Thief, and Heavy Metal. -
The Road WarriorOf course Raiders is the best, but I had to pick Road Warrior for obvious reasons.
-
The Road WarriorHoly shit what a year

Raiders of the Lost ArkI think Kim Cattrall's character was named Lassie.

Raiders of the Lost ArkThat scene from Porky's in the principle's office finishing on that picture of Ike, makes me lose it every time...
