We need to be an issue based political society

This right left shit is out of hand.

Ted Cruz is a corrupt POS
    AOC is a corrupt POS
Rudy Guliani is a corrupt POS
    Andrew Cuomo is a murderer
    Trump is a narcissist
    Biden doesn't remember yesterday

I mean fantastic leadership all around. This is what a corrupt two party system has brought us

The right left shit is crazy. Even seemingly intelligent people pick a side and dig in.
“Left vs right” is framing. The middle is every bit a side as anything else. The left wants to progress, the right wants to conserve what we had and the middle wants to maintain where we are.

It would actually be hugely beneficial if the middle would just admit that their position is based on protecting the status quo because they live comfortable lives and don’t want too much to change. It’s not better than people that believe the left is always correct or the right is always correct, it’s just a different flavor.
Yes. I like my status quo. I worked for it. And it’s pretty good. It’s a reasonable compromise to run an ordered society.

It ain’t even gonna be perfect man. I pay a shit load of taxes and have for a good long while, much of it for purposes of helping others. Happy to do it but at some point it’s too much.
Framing can do a lot of work.

See I could say, you want society ordered the way it is, I want socialism, let’s compromise and do universal healthcare and free college.

Why aren’t you willing to do that? I thought you liked compromise? Why are you being such an ideologue? Every other developed country has a form of universal healthcare, why are you so extreme?

I voted for Biden, come on man. This whole “you won’t compromise, you’re demanding a perfect world” schtick only pushes people like me away.
Healthcare is complicated for a number of reasons so I’m not that interested in getting into it now

That said, can you understand why there are people that are at least not fully supportive of continuing education past the the high school level?

There’s always nuance between none and all
I have not heard a good argument for not making college tuition free. If it’s going to be some shit about not being fair to people that already paid, don’t waste our time.
    Just what we need.....more government

That's the only reason you need not to have it free

Other than making property taxes shoot through the roof, which will then either increase rental rates, or limit the amount of rental properties available, or both. So you're now homeless, but no worries, your Econ101 class is pro bono...Dipshit

So if a student fails a class and has to retake it, who pays for that? In essence you will then have an over-crowding of public universities, with a growing population of students that have no business being there and being there on the public dime.

They need to open up additional access to trade schools.

Because it's a waste of money in most cases in the last 20 years, outside of engineering, computer science and business.

Right now, today, college is an overpriced bribe to drag fools out of HS and into debt they'll be repaying to banks for the next 30 years for fear if they don't follow the flock, they'll be losers in the income game. And Mike Rowe lays waste to this lie with every true-life example he broadcasts or writes about. You know, facts & stuff.

And @TheKobeStopper wants the taxpayers to foot the entire bill for this worthless fucking insanity. What a surprise.

You left out medical degrees in undergrad which lead to researchers and doctors in med school. My older daughter isn’t getting $30,000/year for 4 years in Tucson to study why slavery in the past of the USA was bad but is fine today in Africa.
