I didn't read it all, but I agree with my version of a statement that was made. Race is a bullshit made up term for people in the US. Every where else it's ethnicity. That is what we should be talking about ethnicity, not race. But since America is a mixture of people from all over the world and there is no "American" ethnicity, it become difficult and race simplifies things.
United States of America is a wonderful country because of this. We are not Americans because of our ethnicity, we are Americans because we believe in the values of American, what it stands for, the Constitution, etc. Personally, I think if someone really wants to "stop" racism in America, then they should start with not using race. Define people by their beliefs, and only talk about ethnicity.

Last couple paragraphs the author basically says there isn’t real proof that it’s true or not, only that it’s not helpful to talk about. I agree. Whether it’s true or not doesn’t matter, the remedy for owning your own path is the same in either case. Continuously blaming shit that happened before you were even born and is not productive.
