Cooper Teare leads 3 Oregon Ducks to blistering times in indoor mile-2 Ducks Break college record

Oregon Ducks senior Cooper Teare (left) set an indoor collegiate record in the mile run at the Tyson Invitational on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. Sophomore Cole Hocker (center) also beat the previous collegiate record, while Charlie Hunter's time was good for No. 6 all the all-time collegiate list.
“Teare won in 3 minutes, 50.39 seconds as the senior set a new collegiate indoor record by breaking former Ducks star Edward Cheserek’s mark from 2017 by 1.63 seconds.
Sophomore Cole Hocker placed second in 3:50.55, also dipping below the previous collegiate record. Teare and Hocker now rank No. 7 and No. 8 all-time in the world in the indoor mile.
And Ducks junior Charlie Hunter’s third-place time of 3:53.49 was good for No. 6 on the all-time collegiate list.”- Joel Odom Oregonlive
