I read all the Clancy books in middle school, so my memory of them is very fuzzy...I recall HFRO being very different from the film, but a good adaptation.

    What disappointed you about it?

    Pretty Woman
Lol, just because the movie was written by morons. Who the hell dates a street prostitute? They got major issues. Escorts are different story

    Vee gavaryoo pa-ROOSHKI

Over-simplified and Hollywoodized to make Ryan do more than he did in the book

When Patriot Games was made into a movie Clancy was interviewed and he said that when he read the script he cried because of what they did to it (especially the ending - heey, let's have a fistfight on a speedboat!)*. He should have known what they would do because it's what they did to H4RO.

    * Paramount execs talked to him immediately afterward and told him that if he wanted his other books to be made into movies he needed to be more supportive, so the next day he went out and pretty much recanted what he'd said in the earlier interview
