Why did nobody give a shit until a few years ago? Even when the lawsuit was filed in 2006, it didn't catch on until pretty recently. The team has been called the Washington Redskins since 1937. There has been plenty of time to drum up some faux outrage. It's a little late now.

It's not all that new. There were some protests by Indians in the early 90's. Some of you might remember that douchebag Ron Barr talking about it on his national show. We're talking early sports format KJR here. Anyway the guilty white liberal contingent is always looking for victims so they can feel better about themselves and it seems like they really got upset in the 2000's. This Doog friend of mine finally wore me down to the point where I'm okay with it changing after he cited the racist owner, delayed integration, and the apparent slur.
